A new renal dialysis service is set to be launched in Corby.
International healthcare operators, Euromedic UK have leased 8,000 sq ft of accommodation across four adjoining units at Cedar House Investment’s Headway Business Park on Saxon Way West in Corby, which will enable it to improve access to renal dialysis services.
The new satellite dialysis centre, which is set to open its doors in the autumn, forms part of a contract with the University Hospitals of Leicester and the NHS East Midlands Renal Dialysis Network.
The company, which specialises in imaging, dialysis, pathology and oncology healthcare, is also building a centre in Leicester to add to its existing fleet of two mobile dialysis clinics.
The centre is expected to regularly treat 110 patients and will offer ‘holiday’ dialysis to people visiting the area. The centre’s 21 renal dialysis stations will provide treatment to patients who require 4-6 hours of dialysis three times a week.
Headway Business Park is a 27,000 ft2 office scheme, which occupies a prime location on Saxon Way West at the southern gateway to the town. The development comprises of three buildings containing nine units, ranging in size from 1,885 ft to 8,085 ft.
The scheme is proving extremely popular, thanks to its proximity to Northampton, Leicester and Peterborough and easy access to the A14. More than 90% of the space is already let or sold and occupiers include Moore Stephens chartered accountants and Lamb & Holmes solicitors. Only two units remain and both are available for sale or let.
Commenting on the new facility, Paul Hobson, chief operating officer at Euromedic said:
"Headway Business Park provides an ideal location to provide treatment to patients from across the Northampton, Leicester and Peterborough area. The centre will provide more convenient dialysis treatment to a greater number of patients."
Chris Carlisle, managing director of Cedar House Investments added:
"I would like to welcome Euromedic UK to Headway Business Park and look forward to the launch of the renal unit which will add a new dimension to the existing businesses in the area."
"Headway Business Park is ideal for both local operators looking to expand within the town and from businesses outside the area looking to relocate to Corby. It is exactly the type of development Corby needs to retain existing businesses and attract new office employers to the area."
